Birthday wish list

With my 30th birthday being on April 30th, it seems like the only items that I'm asking for can be found on any one of these sites.  Also if you have free time, please check out this business that I'm currently working on for the past two months.  Strongly recommend all three plus discounts that you can get at restaurants, entertainment venues or most likely anywhere you shop....doesn't include gas stations....sorry.  Just click on #2 for about a 20 minute video that will explain everything and please join my team.

Easily one of my favorite photography ideas I've ever had.  That is with the help of the store Anthropologie.  I remember being in their store before browsing around, and wasn't until Christmas that I found myself asking "what do I get for..."  I've always been extremely creative thinking of ways to make something look better and for $6 per cup, and a little shack at Raymond Russell Park here in San Antonio, I thought why not create pictures.

Ahhh

April 1st, how much I have mixed emotions about you.  Finally my birthday month, yet have to wait until the end of the month to celebrate.  Wishing things could be better financially when I have little to nothing right now.

Rates

Am still looking for more photoshoots to do.  Usually charge $25 for one person, $50 for a couple/two people, $75-100 depending on size and for an event, I can do $20 an hour.  Crossing my fingers that I have a chance to have my own photography show at a place downtown in the next few months yet the details are still in the beginning stages.  No word yet when I need to meet with the person in charge but will keep you guys updated.

The Oasis in Austin, TX

I loved this restaurant so much.  Hula Hut and Katz Deli are personal favorites too but I strongly recommend going here during sunset hours and the music on the 3rd floor isn't too bad either.  Great food!

Snoopy's in Corpus Christi, Texas

Corpus always meant so much to me.  Growing up there until the age of 5 gave me very few memories but all the years going back to visit grandparents and family was amazing.  Memories of being at the Sizzler restaurant for the 4th of July, walks along the waterfront, trips to the beach, going to take drivers ed. there at 15, trips to the mall for movies....  Of course that led me going back to college for a semester and a half majoring in culinary arts being minutes away from the beach, Snoopy's and Water Street Oyster Bar. The breeze alone was amazing.  Highly recommend it to anyone that needs a vacation and miss it so much.

Black Widow Trainer series

The next time you're at a book store or looking for a good new book to read online, please check out The Black Widow Trainer by Craig Odanovich, my dad.  The sequel, Captured Prey, is due out by June 1st.  For those that are into action, suspense, mini novellas, erotic stories, stories based on a female lead, you will love this.

Photography advice

So many people have asked me many questions about my work throughout the years and to put it like this, the one thing you have to always keep in mind is to keep it simple.  You are and always will be your own teacher and can spend money on taking several classes about what to do, what not to do, what camera to get, how many megapixels, filters, zoom lenses, fisheye/macro, telephoto, etc, yet in the end, you show yourself how to improve and become your own critic.  What one person looks at on an everyday basis, be different and look at it at a different angle.  Bend down with your camera, get dirty and actually lay on the ground and look up, look at your surroundings, take out any distractions that take the main subject(s) out of the viewer's eye, take 10-20 pictures of the same subject using a different setting that is allowed on your camera, and don't be afraid to save up and get a more expensive camera where you will have a back up just in case.  A lot say, you have a great eye for things....just because of practice.  Just be you and create your own style.  One of the best tricks I've ever learned was to hold your camera phone or camera's lens up to a pair of binoculars if you are far away and snap the picture.  "You do what you are. You're born with a gift. If not that, then you get good at something along the way. And what you're good at, you don't take for granted. You don't betray it." -Along Came A Spider
